Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sorto, a desktop application and associated services provided by A&B Solutions Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Sorto, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Sorto is a desktop application that uses artificial intelligence to automatically rename and organize files. The application runs locally on your computer and communicates with cloud services for AI processing, user authentication, and subscription management.
2. Accounts
You must create an account to use Sorto. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
3. Subscriptions and Payment
- Sorto offers a free Starter plan and paid subscription plans (Professional, Business, Enterprise).
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, Paddle.com. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.
- Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
- Each plan includes a monthly file processing limit. Unused files do not roll over.
4. Subscription Auto-Renewal
All paid subscription plans (Professional, Business, and Enterprise) automatically renew on a monthly basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription will automatically renew each month on the anniversary of your original billing date, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Recurring charges. You will be charged the same subscription amount each billing period. If pricing changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect.
- Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in the Sorto application (Settings > Manage Billing). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until that date and will not be charged again.
- No partial refunds. Cancellations are not retroactive. If you cancel partway through a billing period, you will not receive a prorated refund for the remaining days. See our Refund Policy for details.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Sorto for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Share your account credentials with others
- Circumvent usage limits or abuse the service
- Use automated tools to access the service beyond its intended use
6. Geographic Restrictions
This service is not available to users located in, or ordinarily resident in, countries subject to Canadian, US, or UN sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. By using Sorto, you represent that you are not located in any such jurisdiction.
7. Your Data and Privacy
Sorto processes files locally on your computer. Only extracted text content is sent to AI services for analysis. Your original files are never uploaded. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
Sorto, including its code, design, and branding, is the property of A&B Solutions Inc. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for its intended purpose.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Sorto is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that AI-generated file names will be 100% accurate. You should review renamed files and use the undo feature if corrections are needed.
Sorto renames files permanently. While undo is available, we recommend maintaining your own backups of important documents. A&B Solutions Inc. is not responsible for any data loss resulting from file renaming operations.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, A&B Solutions Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sorto, including but not limited to data loss, file corruption, or business interruption.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the application. Continued use of Sorto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
